12U FAST PITCH SOFTBALL (Ages 11-12)
12U Softball continues the basic fast pitch skills but begins to introduce advanced fast pitch softball skills in a competitive atmosphere for girls 11 & 12 years of age as of September 1st.
Advanced field management continues.
- A base runner may steal 2nd base, 3rd base and home plate
- Dropped 3rd strike rule applies
There is no restriction on the number of innings a pitcher can pitch.
Bases are 60 feet with the pitching distance 40 feet.
9 players are permitted on defense, 3 are outfielders, no player can sit the bench for two consecutive innings.
Games are 7 innings with a 10-run rule after 5 innings.
All rules revert to ASA Official Softball Rules.
The 12U fast pitch division will play in the Chartiers Valley Communities (CVC) league. Teams in the west division can include North Fayette, Findlay, South Fayette, Midway, Weirton WV, Burgettstown, Avella, and Robinson Twp.
All practices and home games will be held at the Brewer Front Field (Moon Park), the Brewer Back Field (Moon Park), Devenzio Field (Moon Park), or Whispering Woods Field (Spring Run Rd). Away games will be held at other league participants locations previously mentioned.
