10U FAST PITCH SOFTBALL (Ages 9-10)
10U Softball introduces the basic fast pitch softball skills for girls 9 & 10 years of age as of September 1st.
At this age level, the development of field management begins.
Bases are 60 feet with the pitching distance 35 feet.
10 players are permitted on defense, 4 are outfielders.
A player can pitch no more than 4 innings per game.
Girls pitch until there are 4 balls on the batter, then coach/manager pitch is employed.
A base runner may steal 3rd base.
Games are 6 innings with a 10 run rule after 4 innings.
All rules revert to ASA Official Softball Rules.
The 10U fastpitch division plays in the Chartiers Valley Communities (CVC) league. Teams in the west division can include North Fayette, Findlay, South Fayette, Midway, Weirton WV, Burgettstown, Avella, and Robinson Twp.
All practices and home games will be held at the Brewer Front Field (Moon Park), the Brewer Back Field (Moon Park), Devenzio Field (Moon Park), or Whispering Woods Field (Spring Run Rd).
Away games will be held at other league participants at the locations previously mentioned.
